It’s been awhile since I’ve posted any poll numbers, so here’s a few. This is from RASMUSSEN.
First, here are the polls from upcoming Congressional mid-term elections:
In Wisconsin, former Republican Governor Tommy Thompson is ahead in the polls over incumbent Democratic Senator Russ Feingold, 47% to 43%. And Thompson has not even entered the race!
In Iowa, Republican SENATOR CHARLES GRASSLEY leads former Iowa House member Bob Krause 56% to 30%, 59% to 31% over former U. S. Attorney Roxanne Conlon, and 61% to 25% over State Senator Tom Fiegen.
In Nevada, Chairwoman of the Nevada Republican Party Sue Lowden leads incumbent Senator Harry Reid by a margin of 50% to 40%. Former UNLV basketball player Danny Tarkanian leads Reid 50% to 43%.
In additional to the national races, Rasmussen polls show Democratic incumbent governors and Democratic state legislators are also running behind Republican challengers.
If I’m going to bore your with statistics, you know I HAVE to include the President’s approval ratings. As of January 29, 2010, 25% of voters nationally strongly approve of the job Obama is doing as President. On the other hand, 42% of voters strongly disapprove. This gives President Obama an approval index of -17% which Rasmussen calculates by subtracting the percentage of those who strongly disapprove from the percentage of those who strongly approve. This is down two percentage points from just a couple of days ago.

So, I think the Democrats might just possibly be in a little trouble, as in a serious meltdown. Massachusetts was the warning shot. To the Democrats, it sounded like an atom bomb.

Liberal Democrats, hear that rumble? See the dust cloud on the horizon? That’s us, the angry American voters, coming to a voting booth near you, November 2010.

A Facebook friend posted this yesterday, and I’m sure it will make you mad, especially when you pay an average of $2.75 to $3.00 plus per gallon unnecessarily. Here it is:

“I was watching a news program on oil and one of the Forbes brothers was the guest. This is the actual question was asked. The host said to Forbes, “I am going to ask you a direct question and I would like a direct answer; how much oil does the U.S. have in the ground.” Forbes did not miss a beat, he said, “more than all the Middle East put together.” Please read below..

The U. S. Geological Service issued a REPORT in April (’08) that only scientists and oil men knew was coming, but man was it big. It was a revised report (hadn’t been updated since ’95) on how much oil was in this area of the western 2/3 of North Dakota, western South Dakota, and extreme eastern Montana …. check THIS out:

The Bakken is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska’s Prudhoe Bay, and has the potential to eliminate all American dependence on foreign oil. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates it at 503 billion barrels. Even if just 10% of the oil is recoverable… at $107 a barrel, we’re looking at a resource base worth more than $5.3 trillion.

‘When I first briefed legislators on this, you could practically see their jaws hit the floor. They had no idea.’ says Terry Johnson, the Montana Legislature’s financial analyst.’

This sizable find is now the highest-producing onshore oil field found in the past 56 years’ reports, The Pittsburgh Post Gazette. It’s a formation known as the Williston Basin, but is more commonly referred to as the ‘Bakken.’ And it stretches fromNorthern Montana, through North Dakota and into Canada. For years, U. S. oil exploration has been considered a dead end. Even the ‘Big Oil’ companies gave up searching for major oil wells decades ago. However, a recent technological breakthrough has opened up the Bakken’s massive reserves….. and we now have access of up to 500 billion barrels. And because this is light, sweet oil, those billions of barrels will cost Americans just $16 PER BARREL!… See More

That’s enough crude to fully fuel the American economy for 2041 years straight.
And if THAT didn’t throw you on the floor, then this next one should – because it’s from TWO YEARS AGO!

U. S. Oil Discovery- Largest Reserve in the World! Stansberry Report Online – 4/20/2006

Hidden 1,000 feet beneath the surface of the Rocky Mountains lies the largest untapped oil reserve in the world. It is more than 2 TRILLION barrels.

On August 8, 2005 President Bush mandated its extraction. In three and a half years of high oil prices none has been extracted. With this motherload of oil why are we still fighting over off-shore drilling?

They reported this stunning news: We have more oil inside our borders, than all the other proven reserves on earth. Here are the official estimates:
– 8-times as much oil as Saudi Arabia- 18-times as much oil as Iraq
– 21-times as much oil as Kuwait- 22-times as much oil as Iran
– 500-times as much oil as Yemen
– and it’s all right here in the Western United States ..

HOW can this BE? HOW can we NOT BE extracting this?

Because the environmentalists and others have blocked all efforts to help America become independent of foreign oil! Again, we are letting a small group of people dictate our lives and our economy……WHY?

James Bartis, lead researcher with the study says we’ve got more oil in this very compact area than the entire Middle East -more than 2 TRILLION barrels untapped. That’s more than all the proven oil reserves of crude oil in the world today, reports The Denver Post.

Don’t think ‘OPEC’ will drop its price – even with this find? Think again! It’s all about the competitive marketplace, – it has to. Think OPEC just might be funding the environmentalists?

Got your attention/ire up yet? Hope so!

Now, while you’re thinking about it …. and hopefully P.O’d, do this:

Pass this along. If you don’t take a little time to do this, then you should stifle yourself the next time you want to complain about gas prices — because by doing NOTHING, you’ve forfeited your right to complain.”

The Obama administration has obviously known this. Yet, instead of moving forward with getting America independent of the terrorist nations from which we purchase oil, Obama is maintaining the same old status quo. If we began even talking seriously about tapping this vast resource, OPEC would cut it’s prices next week. They would cut them big. It would be a huge boost to our economy, and do more for working class Americans than anything else the government could do. Even after the price cuts by OPEC, we should not stop as we have done in the past. We need to move on this and tell the OPEC nations good-bye to their overpriced oil and regain this much of American sovereignty. This status quo will cost this country dearly one day.

Contact your Congressmen and women and let them know you want Washington to get out of the way of America’s independence from foreign and mostly terrorist oil.

The Washington Democrats and a few others better be. As many of you know, Massachusetts held a special election yesterday to fill the Senate seat vacated by the passing of Ted Kennedy. What happened was not thought possible, even just a few months ago. The Democrats lost the Massachusetts Senate seat that had been held by Ted Kennedy for 47 years! MASSACHUSETTS STATE SENATOR SCOTT BROWN defeated ATTORNEY GENERAL MARTHA COAKLEY by a margin of 52% to 47%, with 1% going to JOE KENNEDY who ran as a Libertarian/Independent. Brown is the first Republican from Massachusetts to be elected to the U. S. Senate since 1972. Click HERE for the story.

This is major blow to the Democratic party. Massachusetts is a state where registered Democrats outnumber Replubicans 3-1. It’s obvious there are many Democrats who are fed up with what has been going on in Washington for the past year. Without Democrats crossing over to vote for Senator Brown on a large scale, there is no way he could have won this election. The Democrat majority in Congress has failed to listen to the will of the people on things like the TARP bad debt purchases by the government, the government healthcare takeover legislation, and the spend-our-way-out-of-a-recession to the tune of trillions of dollars “stimulus bill. Democratic voters have seen what has been happening in Washington for a year now, and many have joined Republicans, Libertarians, and others in pushing back against an agenda that ignores the will of the people. Washington should have heeded the warnings of the numbers of attendees at the TEA PARTY protests. They did not. Now the consequences of not listening to those for whom the Washington politicians work have started. It’s not just Democrats who better be listening either. There are some RINO’s with short memories who better pay attention too.

Here’s an example of how fed up mainstream America is with what’s going on in Washington. In this brief post on the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee site, those who are pushing back against the Washington Socialist agenda, & letting their voices be heard as guaranteed by the First Amendment of our Constitution (read it & weep, Washington!) are referred to as a “serious threat.” Good! Scott Brown is running for Ted Kennedy’s vacant seat in Massachusetts, & is reportedly in a dead heat with his Democratic opponent (can you believe it?), District Attorney Martha Coakley.

Fight Back Against The Scott Brown Moneybomb

TUE JAN 12 2010 12:00:00 GMT-0500 (EST) | BY ARJUN JAIKUMAR

Republican Scott Brown raised over $1.3 million yesterday from national Republicans in a Ron Paul-styled “moneybomb”, as the radical right wing of the national Republican Party hopes to seize Ted Kennedy’s seat and block health care reform and the rest of President Obama’s agenda.

The tea-party fringe of the GOP is a serious threat and they will elect genuine right-wing radicals if we don’t fight back.

You can fight back right now by contributing to the DSCC. Martha Coakley needs your support now, with only days until the election.

This shows the fight against higher taxes, government take-over of our healthcare system, and spending in one year that has far exceeded the total spent by the Bush administration has gotten the liberal left’s attention. The far left-wing Democrats fear not only this special election on January 19th, but the upcoming mid-term elections later this year. That’s the reason why Obama has not been able to get it through Congress, despite the media’s accusations of Republicans being “obstructionists”. There are more than enough Democrats in Congress for the bill to go through easily. But the problem Obama is having is with his own party. The Democrats know that whoever votes for the government healthcare takeover will likely lose their jobs come election time. The Democrats are why the healthcare takeover has not passed Congress, DSCC, not the Republicans or anyone else.

Brown may not win, but the fact that the race is so extremely close that it is indicative of how angry mainstream America is with what’s going on in Washington. There have to be many Democrats, or now former Democrats that plan to vote for Brown for the race to be this close in a state like Massachusetts. Whether Brown wins or not, the message will be clear: Americans are fighting back using not the court system with carefully chosen cases to bypass the legislative process, but the most powerful weapon there is against a government that is bent on creating a Socialist state with a population forced into dependency on it: THE BALLOT BOX.
